Learn how Country of Pets works, how booking requests are handled, how providers apply, and how we keep the platform legally safe. Country of Pets does not replace your regular veterinarian. If your pet already has a veterinarian, continue following their medical advice. For illness, injury, medication, diagnosis, vaccination, surgery, or emergency care, contact a licensed veterinarian or emergency clinic.

Booking and service questions
How does Country of Pets booking work?
Pet parents submit a booking request with service type, pet details, city and preferred timing. Country of Pets reviews the request and helps connect the customer with a suitable independent provider when available.
Is booking free for pet parents?
Yes. In the current MVP, pet parents can submit a booking request for free. Provider service pricing, payment, cancellations and service terms are handled directly by the independent provider unless Country of Pets states otherwise in writing.
Can I choose a specific provider?
In the early Shopify MVP, Country of Pets uses a managed request model. Customers submit their needs and we help match the request with a suitable provider. Direct provider selection can be added later as the marketplace grows.
What services can I request?
Customers can request grooming, boarding, daycare, pet sitting, dog walking, training, transportation, cat care, small pet care, pet photography, pet waste removal and veterinary clinic listing requests.

How do I apply as a provider?
Providers can apply through the Join as Provider page. Country of Pets reviews applications before publishing provider profiles on the marketplace.
Am I an employee of Country of Pets?
No. Providers listed or applying on Country of Pets are independent businesses, clinics or professionals. Providers are responsible for their own services, pricing, availability, legal compliance, insurance, licensing and customer communication.
Will I pay a subscription?
Country of Pets may introduce provider subscription plans as the marketplace grows. During the early MVP stage, provider onboarding and pricing may be handled manually.

Legal, veterinary and emergency questions
Is Country of Pets a veterinary clinic?
No. Country of Pets is a marketplace and connection platform. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide emergency care, or replace a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship.
Can I use Country of Pets for emergencies?
No. If your pet is experiencing an urgent or emergency medical situation, contact a licensed veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic immediately.
Who provides the services?
Services are provided by independent third-party providers, not Country of Pets. Each provider is responsible for their own services, availability, pricing, communication, legal compliance and outcomes.
